When an energy efficient window loses its seal, it begins to look foggy. You’ll know it when you see fog and condensation appear between the panes of what was once an energy efficient window. Whether you’ve got double or even triple-paned windows, you’ve got a seal that will likely lose its seal in time. Whether it’s an overzealous painter wielding a heat gun, a homeowner pressure washing his (or her) windows, the climate, or simply time can cause the window seal to fail. Big replacement window companies will tell you to replace the entire window, encasement and all, but is this always the solution? Or the most cost-effective answer? In some cases it will be necessary to replace the entire window however, in many cases there are alternatives.

A Glazier can work a miracle on an old tired window. At Clear-Vu Window Services, our glazier will come to your home and replace just the glass portion of your window for much less than a replacement window company will charge for a new encasement. And the best part? There are no tear-outs, and virtually no mess! We simply remove the thermal unit / IGU (insulated glass unit) with the ruptured seal from its encasement and replace it with a brand new thermal unit. While there are many different types of window and some processes require slightly different installation techniques, the result is always the same. The windows in your home will look brand new!

For the last 12 years, Vern and Lisa Stacey have been the experts to call in Kincardine when your energy efficient windows lose their seal. Vern started his career as a Glazier replacing IGU (Insulated Glass Units) or thermal windows in the Kitchener Waterloo area back in the early 90’s moving the business to Kincardine in 2004. After many years of service with a franchise specializing in automotive, residential and commercial glass, Vern and Lisa decided to sell the automotive portion of the business and focus exclusively on residential and commercial window glass.

Thermal / Insulated Glass (IGU’s) – Insulated glass is warranted for 10 years, during which time we will provide replacement glass as follows if there is a product malfunction.

Any manufacturer warranty claims will be subject to a visual inspection to verify the validity of a claim. Any modification, change or alteration done to the original installation, by anyone other than a Clear-Vu Window Services technician will void the 10 year warranty.

Proof of purchase is required for Clear-Vu Window Services, acts of nature, or self inflicted damage.

Clear-Vu Window Services maintains the Warranty & Guarantee of all Thermal Window replacements performed by Go Glass & Accessories from 2004 – 2015. Proof of Purchase Required.
